What is an Automower?
An Automower is a very clever piece of technology that allows you to hand over the job of cutting your lawn or grass area to a robotic lawnmower. The battery-driven Automower can cut the whole lawn on a time frame you set up and can work in most types of weather – particular in those typical British showers.
The mower uses a clever new concept that involves cutting small amounts from the lawn and allowing those cuttings to fall back to the ground, acting as mulch. This is great for the condition of the lawn and allows the cuttings to act as fertilizer.
Safe, quiet and totally automated
These clever lawnmowers can be set to operate on a timer. Plus the new X series can even pair with your smartphone and be controlled by it – so if you decide the lawn needs cutting today, you can simply program the mower to start working.
Unlike many lawnmowers, the Automower is also surprisingly quiet. With sound level as low as 58 dB(A), it can mow the lawn without disturbing the neighbours – which is why people often operate it on an evening or even during the night. We can help you get the perfect model for the lawn space that you have and then help you set it up. All you need is a boundary wire to create a fence to stop it and a one-time installation to get it running – it will do the rest itself.

Full Installation Service
Once we have confirmed that a Husqvarna Automower is suitable for your garden, we will arrange a convenient time to install your Automower.
Once installed we will run you through the operation of the Automowers settings and set up the connect app if equipped.
From this point on the mower is automatic giving you more time to do the things that matter!
What is Involved in the Installation?
Installation normally takes between 2-4 hours depending on the complexity of your garden.
We will bury a boundary wire around your lawn and any obstructions, the two ends of the cable will be connected to the charging station, creating a loop for the Automower to work within.
Guide wires will be buried from the charging station across the lawn through any narrow corridors to help the Automower find its way back to recharge.
The charging station is then plugged into a standard 3 pin outdoor electrical supply.
Once installed we will set up the security settings, geofence, timer and connect app if fitted.
What to expect from Automower after installation
After installation there may be a small visible line where we have buried the boundary cable, this will soon disappear as the grass will quickly grow over it.
Due to the small wheelbase and the random cut pattern of the Automower, the lawn will look much smoother within 1-2 weeks. Within the first 1-3 months the lawn will start looking greener due to the healthier daily cutting.
When the Automower has become well established, you will notice a huge reduction in moss, if not totally eradicated.

Husqvarna’s all-wheel-drive robotic mower makes easy work out of the most demanding lawns. It manages slopes of up to an impressive 70% (35°) incline, delivering great results even in the most challenging of hilly grass areas.
The fact that it manages inclines of up to 70% means that you no longer have to handle them manually. Husqvarna Automower435X AWD handles extreme slopes where it’s close to impossible to operate with a brushcutter or a hover mower.

The Automower 435X AWD is equipped with the Connect App, which gives you full control over your Automower from wherever you are thanks to GPS tracking and connection via the mobile phone network.
The Connect app enables starting and stopping, you can also track your mower if it has stopped or moved, and keep it safe with GPS theft tracking. You can also simply speak basic commands to it with Alexa or Google Home and it’ll obey. You can execute the most common commands such as start, stop, park, and get status updates from your mower by simply asking your smart speaker.

Once installed, you can virtually forget about it as it self regulates, self-charges and moves in almost silence. If this does not suite, it is easy to program, stop or store if so required.I even downloaded the app so that I can legitimately tell my family that I am mowing the lawn. I can even control it when on holiday!
The only regret I have is that upon registration, you are asked to name the mower. I had some very funny ideas such as ‘Sean’, ‘Mr Mowtivator’ and ‘Mow Fara’ but I made the mistake of asking my two young boys for their ideas. The mower, as a result, is called Dave.
For us, it was also essential that the mower was 100% safe for out two small boys who regularly play in the garden. We have never had any issues despite their best efforts to disrupt it’s progress. The mowerwill not cause them, or their various abandoned bikes and footballs any harm, it will stop if any obstacle, or child, should block it’s path and it will change course.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that before the automower®, what I called a lawn was essentially a field. Now it’s state is so vastly improved, I am considering taking up crown green bowling. I can honestly sayI cannot recommend a Husqvarna automower® enough and will certainly not consider being without one again.If this is what they mean when they say the robots are taking over – bring it on.”
